I come from a family of immigrants where I have seen first hand the hard work and struggle that comes with starting from scratch. My experiences have heavily influenced my perspective on immigration, compelling me to shed light to the topic, as I would not be here today without the perseverance and bravery of my father and my mothers parents, my grandparents. Growing up as an immigrant daughter is like living in a different world. While my parents have always been very supportive to the best of their ability, there are things that seem like second nature that people coming from a different environment may not know. I have had to figure out a lot of things on my own. It has shown a level of responsibility and has shaped me into the person I am today, influencing my morals, my actions, and my desire to succeed. My goal is to share the truth, and in doing so I have conducted research and presented my findings using a combination of qualitative data, my personal experiences, experts, and individual testimonies.
